Dorothy Neifert wrote asking for more information on her line. There looks to be an error, with Wilcoxon and Wilcox names being mixed up. Sylvanus Wilcox was a Wilcoxon descendant, and yes, his descendants were east of Utica (which Frankfort is). The Utica area is primarily Wilcoxon. Janet Jensen, are you still out there and want to help her out with this? Peleg Wilcox (and there were more than one) is a descendant line of Stephen Wilcox, son of Edward. That line was west of Utica NY and many show up around Hamilton, NY in Madison County. I have all the Madison Co, NY Wilcox information and am close by so I have researched the area well. I find both lines starting to get mixed up and sometimes both lines were present in the same or neighboring towns at times. To make matters more confusing my line was real close to Saquoit on both sides of the Oneida Co border and they are Daniel's line. Check your sources and contact me directly if I can help you. I am hoping someone in this group will have info regarding a Mary WILCOX (b 1605 in Cambridge, Mass) who married Nathaniel Hall (b 1601 place?). Any info about her, her family and their origins much appreciated. For anyone interested--- I also have a WILCOXSON--Christa Ann who married my ancestor (his 2nd wife) Cyrus H. BRUNTON. She was b 28 Feb 1828 in Ohio, and d 8 Mar 1908 in Dayton, Columbia County, WA. Buried orig in Dayton, reinterred to Waitsburg, WA. Parents WILCOXSON and BIXTER. They had one child, Laura Sedonia BRUNTON b 18 July 1861, Harrison Co, Missouri. She married Duron HAMILTON 24 Dec 1876 at Dixie, WA. Died 27 July 1909 in Walla Walla, WA. Buried in Waitsburg, WA.
