Hello to all you Wilburn/Welborn reseachers. Do any of you have any DUKE ancestors? There appears to be many families who married into the early VA immigrant Duke descendants who also married into many generations of Wilburn or Welborn families of various spellings. Example: Duke/Grimes. We know there were a number of Wilburn/Grimes marriages in TN and possible in KY...We also know of Brattain and Wilburn marriages too... Some Duke families were connected to Wade/Hampton and Garland families...These families appear to be allied with children of Edward Wilburn who died in Surry NC in 1806. At any event, I find a lot of info about descendant lines of allied families who married Wilburns just by looking at the tons of research conducted by Duke researchers... If anyone finds this of interest, please let me know...and I will zap you some additional postings that I found of real interest...or if you have anything to add, great!
