His father was Booker Wilburn. I would have to check my database for the name of Booker's father. Last year, I found some one line information that seems to show that the Booker and Hull families were allied. (At any event, Cordell Hull Wilburn is a descendant of Gunnery Wilburn who died in Halifax, VA (I believe in 1796) and his wife Judith Owens Wilburn and then one of their sons named Obediah Wilburn who married Elizabeth Martin, daughter of Benjamin Martin. Now I only cite this due to your note in which you mention Cordell Hull's family. From bits and pieces that I found on line, I came away convinced that Cordell Hull Wilburn was related to the Hull and Booker family and was thus related to Cordell Hull also of TN who later became Secretary of State under FDR. I have some additional pieces of information if you are interested. But the information that you posted here is new to me and I have no direct connections to add to the information that you already have. Still I might have some clues for you to pursue. Let me know.
