To bad we don't have more people around like you and your kind generosity! I sure wish we did. However, Hiram Coleman Wilburn's book is FULL OF ERRORS sadly to say... When he wrote his book he did not have the resourses that we have today. He has more than several lines mixed up with other lines and NO proof to back any of it up. This is one of the reasons it's out of print because of so many tremendous errors in lineages! I just wanted to let everyone know out there to NOT take this book as any kind of "actual proof" or you'll be starting from scratch all over again in your research! I don't wish that on anyone... In reply to any Wilburn's or Welborn's living in Tenn. or any other variations of the surname. There were plenty of them living all across the State of Tenn. in any given years of our State Census Records or Land Records, etc. I hope this helps some of you that are looking for actual records to prove your lineage.
