    1. [WILBURN-L] Search for Charles Wilburn and/or his children
    2. Toby Wilburn, Charles Wilburn, Lewellyn Wilburn and Gunnery Shelton Wilburn were born in Tennessee. Lewellyn Wilburn, married George Henry Posey. Charles and Gunnery Shelton traveled to Indian Territory. On the way, they met up with James E. Smith and and his daughters in Yell Co. Arkansas. According to oral family history, the Smith's traveled with the Wilburns to Indian Territory. In time, Gunnery Shelton married one of the daughters, Mary Virginia Smith. I am searching for some record of Charles Wilburn, b. about 1863. he married in Oklahoma (wife's name unknown, possibly Cherokee or Choctaw maiden). They six children most of whom were born around Ada, Oklahoma: 1. Charles, Jr. Wilburn, b. abt 1880 2. Curtis Wilburn, b. abt 1881. 3. Blanche Wilburn. 4. Sadie Wilburn. 5. Anna Wilburn and 6. Fred Wilburn. If anyone has any information regarding these family members, I would appreciate hearing from you. Maxine Satterfield Masatterfi@aol.com

    3. In our family of the Wilburns, there was talk of one of our ancestors moving to Indian Territory and marrying a Cherokee. We have yet to figure out who it was. BUT...I am going to look up the names you have provided and see if we have them listed. I hope you have cracked the missing person of our family.
