HI Beth, Well, kiddo you caught me without my database up and running yet...Bummer! Here is what I know from the top of my head. Not much, but I can tell you that I am short on Phillips families. I have a few and they were married to Wilburns in Carter KY..c 1860. And that is about the sum total of my Phillips info...which would be of NO help to you. About the Hurleys...I am not certain when Wilburns and Hurleys hook up...but they do so in Claiborne co TN and appear to have several Wilburn/Hurley marriages before 1850. There are some folks more knowledgable about their Wilburn/Hurley ancestors than I am...so hopefully they will respond to your message. Beth you and I have lots of common ancestors..not surprising since many of our ancestors were living in Wilkes and Ashe co NC before and after 1800. Mine moved on and yours appear to have stayed put... I will note some of the surnames of families from this part of NC and TN that were allied with Wilburns...I know that you know some of these names better than I do.. Cause I learned some of this from you.
