About John W Wilburn who died in Civil War and Sarah Jane Morris Wilburn, his widow who later in 1865, married Aaron Nettles Wilburn, cousin of John W. Wilburn, I know no knowledge of this family. However, I do show some information that leads to me think it likely that John W Wilburn and his cousin Aaron Nettles Willburn were kin to Zachariah Curtis Wilburn b c 1809 who married Edith Dutton Nettles on Dec 5 1833 in MO. Possible in Danville. I show that Zach Curtis Wilburn and his wife Edith D Nettles Wilburn also had a son named Aaron Nathan Wilburn, b 1843. I collected this information from other Wilburn researchers who also note that Zachariah Curtis Wilburn was the son of John and Mary Curtis Wilburn. I would think it likely that John W Wilburn that you are seeking belongs with this group of Wilburns who have roots in Cumberland KY and whose ancestors were in Surry NC before that.
