Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/ncWBAIB/351 Message Board Post: Please note the dates for Burrill Wilburn of Sussex Co VA. The info I posted was for consideration for your Burril's ancestry. Indeed, I have no proof that this is the same family. However, look at the timeline. It fits. Also the same given names appear over & over for generations. One thing that I found as I was researching my own line(Burrill, b.1742 & William Wilburn my 3rd GGrandfather were brothers) was that the bulk of this huge Wilburn Family was no longer in Sussex VA by the 1820's. They went somewhere else!!! And all the evidence taken together certainly points to the possibility that Perry Co. TN was where the "Burrill" branch landed. (My direct line went VA-ALA-TN-MS & Burrill's family never appeared with them) It is certainly a reasonable possibility that the Davis Family moved along with these Wilburns as did so many "cluster" families of that era. Often as they moved together, they continued to intermarry for generations. I am sorry that I can offer ! no proof. I just felt that this was a possible connection that you might want to consider. Good luck & don't give up asking questions.
