My aunt there in Macon. Ga. her name is Emily Wilburn. She lives on Old Lundy Rd. Her husband my uncle who is now deceased his name was Solomon Wilburn. His brothers were Azar and George. They had a sister called pony. I have no idea what her birth name was, I'll find out. I was told by my cousin Eva Mae White in New york that I reminded her of my grandmother Mary Wilburn. Mary Wilburn was Solomon, Azar and George's mother. I was told that Mary's husband name was Larry Wilburn. Eva Mae white and her daughter Ella live in New York. Could there or was there a street in Macon years ago name Wilburn Street? If so, I'll tell how that street became the Wilburn Street. If not, maybe my uncle was just talking making conversation, like he always did when we would visit him. My grandmother Mary had two other sisters, Martha and Fannie that were mentioned to me. Azar, my father would have been born around 1917- 1918 according to what my mother had once told me. Aileen, I'm not sure if my aunt Emily, will tell or give you any information. You know how older people can be. As a matter of fact I don't even call her any more. Since my uncle Solomon, passed away I didn't get a chance to know him like I would have wanted to. When I would call to see how she's doing from time to time, she would cut me off like a non payment on a electric bill. One of my aunts best friends spoke with me over the phone while I was there visiting after my uncle had died, she said Brenda, you hang in there you hear. I don't know why Mrs. Leola said that. When my father died, I did my own search in finding him? When I did find him, he was living in Macon? He was living down in West Palm Beach Florida, from the time he left us as children up until I found him when I returned from Germany in 1988. I went to Macon, to visit my uncle Solomon for the first time, and we talked about my father and so on. I saw his obituary, and it mentioned he had 4 children in WV. Aunt Emily being as educated as she is, She didn't try to contact us indicating that our father had died. My brother is listed in in the Huntington, WV directory. My father mentioned it to Emily his self that he had 4 children. I'm 46 yrs.old, soon to be 47 and all I wanted was to know my family on my fathers side and that's all, but that wasn't good enough. When I mentioned the Anthony's, well that's a line on my mother's side of the family. I knew about the Anthony's from what my grandmother Lizzie told me as a child. I tell you this at times you feel like your alone in this world with no family, but that's not true. I did the Anthony family reunion in Virginia. I estimated 100 people and ended up with 378, and we have more. We've had two reunions. We're starting on our third reunion for 2003, to be held in WV. When they're large families it's planning to make it work. Aileen, I hope the information I've given you was helpful. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Brenda
