Only you can decide...But I did want you to know that your James Wilburn was not the only Wilburn to marry a DUNN. (From memory and not in my database.... Lewis Wilburn b. c 1814 in either TN or IN m a DUNN...Ella DUNN...(two different records in KS ( census 1870) and also a tax records in 1873 (?) or there about, showed different birth places and also years of birth...Which made me wonder, if I was not looking at records of two different Lewis Wilburns..however, they did appear to be one in same... If only I could remember the county in KS where these census records were found...I have been racking my brain, all to no avail.... I say this only because my experiences has been that two Wilburns m to two women with the same surname means pretty closely connected. I am sure there are bound to be exceptions...At any event, my thinking is that your James Wilburn m to Sarah Dunn has a good change of being kin to Lewis Wilburn also m to a DUNN. ( This fellow with the Wilburn/Dunn ancestors and I were never able to put his Lewis Wilburn in the same family with my own Lewis Wilburns...We do know that many Dunns lived in Claiborne Co TN and that my own Lewis Wilburn and his kin also lived in Claiborne Co TN... And that's about all that I can offer up...If you connect to Micajah Wilburn, I think I know the ancestors of this line.. Key word here is THINK... Micajah Wilburn appears to be a descendant of the Wilburns who married into the DAVIS line in Stokes Co NC...William Wilburn, a descendant of James and Isabelle Teague Welborn m Prudence Davis... A far better source for the lines of William Wilburn and Prudence Davis is ANN GAHAN...She has researched this line for many many years and has written a book on this line... I believe that Ann Gahan is a member of this website and IF this is of interest to you, you may wish to post her. Good luck.. Wilburn all that I know is that he was born in or around 1805 in NC. Not much to go on but he is on an 1840 Ark. census Madison Cty., he married Sara Dunn in Madison Cty. Ark. abt. 1833. I have reason to belive that he came from Kansas right before comming to Arkansas. I know alll of his children his two marriages but i have hit a brick wall and all I know is that he is from NC born abt. 1805. Any info. would be helpful.
