He is my husbands ggrandfather. He said his name was F.A. Wilburn, and he could be off on the spelling of the first name. Fields or Feels, he definately knows the middle initial was A. On the census does it show a spouse? If so would you let me know what census and where you found the Feels? Thanks for contacting me. Shelia Wilburn

My grandfather is Charles Jackson Wilburn. I am looking for his brother. He was born Harvey B. Wilburn to Solomon Wilburn and Sarah Elizabeth Gill Wilburn in Somerset, KY on Sept. 12, 1892/1893. I just received new information from Solomon's pension file that Harvey possibly enlisted in the Army in Columbus, Ohio on April 11, 1911. And, as of 1920, he was still in the Army in the quartermaster's department. Anyone with a Harvey born about that time in their files - please contact me! Could be him! Other rumors have him in Texas......... would just really like to find out what happened to him! Vicki

Hello cousin Jonathan. You are right. Lihue Tandy Wilburn was the younger brother of my GGGGfather Felix G. Wilburn. In fact, Lihue Tandy and his second wife named a son Felix Galimon Wilburn. They were both sons of William W<arren> Wilburn and his wife, Frances, last name unknown. I will send you a full printout, as I have it, up to William Warren Wilburn. I am on my way to Harrison, Ark. today to the Wilburn reunion. Harrison is where William and Frances and Felix, Sr. and Jr., are buried, in a family cemetery outside Harrison. Headquarters of reunion is at Comfort Inn. Come on up, if you can. Would you rather I send you an email and attach a Word document, a Family Tree document, or a GEDCOM? Or would you rather I just print it in an email. It's pretty long. If you had rather, I can send it by regular mail, but not until I get back from Harrison. Sorry to run, but I was up packing and just about to retire when I made the often fatal mistake of checking my email. To bad we don't have more people around like you and your kind generosity! I sure wish we did. However, Hiram Coleman Wilburn's book is FULL OF ERRORS sadly to say... When he wrote his book he did not have the resourses that we have today. He has more than several lines mixed up with other lines and NO proof to back any of it up. This is one of the reasons it's out of print because of so many tremendous errors in lineages! I just wanted to let everyone know out there to NOT take this book as any kind of "actual proof" or you'll be starting from scratch all over again in your research! I don't wish that on anyone... In reply to any Wilburn's or Welborn's living in Tenn. or any other variations of the surname. There were plenty of them living all across the State of Tenn. in any given years of our State Census Records or Land Records, etc. I hope this helps some of you that are looking for actual records to prove your lineage. Many Thanks Again, Michelle for your wonderful kindness!! You truly are a nice person indeed! Thanks, Betty
