Vikky here again. First, I'd like to thank John V for his recent post...It's always nice to know have affirmation that genealogy material posted here is of interest to others. Next, I would like to thank ANN GAHAN for all of her research work and for her kind heart in sharing her most valuable knowledge. Ann is always setting me straight whenever I get off track and or supplying me with Wilburn material that I value. Ann, thank you VERY VERY MUCH! Ann Beeson Gahan has worked many years researching material directly from court houses and genealogy libraries long before the internet came along to make things so much easier. Many researchers owe a debt of gratitude to Ann for her many years of work and sharing. I am just one of many who value her knowledge. A most recent example is a posting of mine in which I was seeking information re: Davis Welbourne who m Hannah Haworth and wishing to learn his ancestry. Ann very quickly responded that he was the son of William Wilburn and Prudence Davis of NC. And that William Wilbourn or Welborn was the son of James Welborn and Isabelle TEAGUE Welborn. James Welborn was son of William Welborn and ANN CRABTREE WELBORN. Always looking for help, I then asked my cousin Bill Childs to check out the 1850 Madison Co IN census and tell me the given name of Davis Wilburn's wife.
