Funeral services will be held at 8:30 o'clock Friday morning in the Catholic church at Mattoon and burial will be in the Mattoon cemetery. Mr. Schattl was born in Bohemia January 10, 1873 and came to this country about 37 years ago. He lived in Mattoon until nine years ago, when he came to this city and was employed by the Crocker Chair company. He leaves to mourn his loss eight children, William of Sheboygan, Mrs. Albert Bauer of Schofield, Mrs. George Ruscher of Chicago, and Mrs. George Rath, Minnie, Emma, Francis and Jacob Jr., all of Antigo. He also leaves two sisters and one brother, Mrs. William Metko, Mrs. Lambert Fisher and Frank Schattl, all of Mattoon. Mrs. Schattl died just one year ago.
