She was 87 years old. She was born May 31, 1919, in Ashland, a daughter of the late John and Grace (Webster) Moore. On Sept. 18, 1948, she married Donald Schroeder, who preceded her in death on aug. 31, 1955. A graduate of Antigo High School, Mrs. Schroeder attended Langlade County Normal School. During World War II she lived in Washington, D.C. and worked as a secretary for the Department of Defense. She later returned to Antigo, where she was employed at McLellan's Dime Store, as a secretary at Hyland Lakes Dairy Products and as a bookkeeper-teller at Peoples Bank. Mrs. Schroeder was a life-long member of Antigo United Methodist Church, and a member of the Jewel Chapter Number 19 Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include a daughter, Donna Shetter, Bryant, three sons, Mark (Stephanie) Schroeder, Gleason, Russell (Linda) Schroeder, Waupaca, and Todd Schroeder, Deerbrook, eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, a sister, Phyllis (Harry) Strahlendorf, Pewaukee, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Schroeder was preceded in death [by] two brothers, Clyde and James, a sister, Dorothy Gillespie, a son-in-law, Charles Shetter, and a great-grandson, Nathanial Shetter. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home. Rev. Jason Dickerson and Rev. Paul Banister will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 3 until 6 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
