Joan K. Bradley, Antigo, died Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Eileen and Gary Hartl. She was 88 years old. She was born Sept. 22, 1920, in Antigo, the daughter of the late Frank and Hannah (Mahoney) Othrow. She married Jeramiah Bradley on May 30, 1942, in Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo. He preceded her in death March 16, 1999. At the age of 8 years, she moved to Milwaukee, and later Chicago, where she graduated from high school. After their marriage, they lived in Chicago and moved to Green Bay in the late 1940s. She raised her family in Green Bay and worked with her husband in Jerry's Esquire Bar. They were members of St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Parish. In 1978, they moved to Antigo and purchased the Farmers Home Bar and Restaurant. They retired in 1988. In their retirement, they worked at Yellowstone National Park cooking and house cleaning. They enjoyed traveling and wintering in California with their daughter, Mary, and son, James. In San Luis Obispo, she belonged to a prayer shawl group in Nativity Catholic Parish. She enjoyed crocheting and praying. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church. Surviving are three daughters, Mary Margaret (Mark Weldon) Bradley Nederland, Colo.; Joan Hickey, and Eileen (Gary) Hartl, both of Antigo; four sons, Daniel (Brenda) Bradley and Michael Bradley, both of Green Bay; Kevin (Kris) Bradley, of Antigo; James (Darlene) Bradley, of San Miguel, Calif.; 14 grandchildren, 14 great- grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Cicchelli, of Detroit, Mich. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jeramiah Bradley; three sons, Terrance, Thomas and Patrick Bradley; two sisters, Eileen Brunell and Mary Ingethron; and four brothers, Frank, James, Edward and Earl Othrow. Funeral services will be held at St. John Catholic Church, Antigo, Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Charles Hoffmann, officiating. Interment will in the Allouez Catholic Cemetery, Allouez, Wis. Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 9, at Bradley Funeral Home Hwy 45, Antigo, from 3:30 to 7 p.m. with parish wake service at 4 p.m. and on Saturday at church from 9 to 10 a.m. Online condolences may be made to www.bradleyfh.com.
