Date: Wed, 28 Jul 1999 21:52:05 EDT From: [email protected] Subject: Book: LUX>OZAUKEE COUNTY, WI To all researchers who had ancestors from Luxembourg who settled initially in Ozaukee County, WI: I am writing a very large book that now has over 7,000 ancestors/descendants in it. The book will also contain written and pictorial essays and information--one large essay with dozens of pictures will be of the old Lakeshore Stone Quarry, its pier, ships, etc.. If you want your families included, please contact me. All credit for family trees goes to the researchers/contributors, pictures/copies of documents welcome. You can submit in Family Tree Maker form or gedcom form. All pix must have ID list and be dated. Please: privatize the sensational data in your files and make sure it's okay to list young children before sending it. I anticipate self-publication by May of 2000, 3 volumes at least, and printing costs that will probably be around $60+ for the set plus priority mailing costs of about $10----and that's without me making a dime, and I have thousands invested in this project. This first edition is being put together by me in honor of my deceased mother who co-founded the Luxembourg Society of WI. Send an email to: [email protected] to discuss inclusion of your families. Note: many of you out there may not realize that your Luxembourg Iowa or Minnesotan ancestor stopped here in Ozaukee County, WI, first. If they did, then we want you! I am trying to get more than 10,000 people for the first edition. Best wishes, Melissa Just a few examples of surnames in this text: Anzia, Antoine, Binat, Binsfeld, Dietz, Grun/Green, Fideler/Fiedler, Mallinger, Gonnering, Schanen (two clans), Prom (two clans), Mans, Decker, Becker, Steinmetz/Steinmetzer, Mans, Remich, Barnich, Roob, Wellenstein, Krick, Krier, Kultgen, Martin, Klas, Link/Linck(Hessians who married Luxies), Ledenbach, Romanesco(Dutch who married Luxies), Speltz, Kohner, Reuter, Reiter, Roeser, Mondloch, Weiler, Wester, Weyker, and hundreds more.
