    3. A lot of folks capitalize surnames (PATNODE vs. Patnode) when posting about the names they are researching. I'd like to encourage everyone to please do so as it makes it much easier for readers to scan the post for names they may know something about. Many of us receive so much e-mail that we cannot afford to go through each one line by line trying to pick out names and as a result many do not read posts which do not have surnames capitalized.
