Surnames: Swoboda, Babler, Novak Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/zEC.2ACE/276 Message Board Post: HENRY SWOBODA, FARMER AT NEVA, DIED THIS MORNING Henry Swoboda, 56, town of Neva farmer, died about 10:15 o'clock this morning at the Langlade County Memorial hospital. He had been in poor health since June and became critically ill Saturday. Mr. Swoboda was born Mar. 22, 1891, in Kewaunee county, and had lived on a farm near Neva since 1899. His marriage to Catherine Babler took place June 18, 1923, in Antigo. He was a member of St. Wencel's church of Neva, and of the Holy Name society. Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Rita, at home; one son, Vernon, at home; two sisters, Miss Anna Swoboda, Milwaukee, and Mrs. William Novak, Rio Creek; and two brothers, Martin of Green Bay and Charles of Alaska. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 o'clock Monday morning at St. Mary's church, the Rev. Henry Hubert of Neva officiating. Burial will be in the Neva cemetery. Friends may call at the Muttart-McGillan funeral home from Saturday evening until the time of the service.
