She was 87 years old. She was born on Sept. 9, 1914, in Mattoon, a daughter of the late John and JuliAnna (Strimitger) Padinger. On Sept. 13, 1941 she married Myron Sandberg in the town of Almon. He preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 1969. Mrs. Sandberg was employed by Marathon Battery in Wausau. Survivors include a son, Orin (Karen) Sandberg, Green Bay, four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Sandberg was preceded in death by a son, two sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday at the Schmidt-Schulta Funeral Home, Birnamwood. Rev. Richard Gildseth will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau.
