Surnames: Blodgett Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/zEC.2ACE/256 Message Board Post: EDWARD BLODGETT OF ELCHO DIES Edward Thomas Blodgett, 66, long time resident of Elcho who had been making his home at the Grand Army Home for Veterans at King, Wis. for a number of years, died at 6 a.m. at the Veterans Home. Mr. Blodgett was born Jan. 20, 1889 in Stevens Point. He served in World War I, and was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Josephine Bauer of Elcho, Mrs. Esther Noetzelman, Mrs. Ruth Weber, and Mrs. Helen Krueger, all of Milwaukee; and two brothers, William and Erastus, both of Elcho. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the chapel at the veterans Home with the Rev. Ralph Holliday, chaplain at the Home, officiating. Friends may call at the Holly funeral home in Waupaca from 4 p.m. today until 9 a.m. Friday. From 9 a.m. Friday the body will lie in state at the Chapel until time of services. Following the services, interment will be at the Elcho cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Elcho American Legion at 2 p.m. Friday at the Elcho cemetery.
