Fischer, 64, of route 2, Birnamwood, died Sunday at St. Joseph's hospital, Marshfield. Born in Antigo on Feb. 15, 1910 he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Fischer. He lived in Milwaukee for 25 years and moved to Birnamwood in January of 1972. Mr. Fischer was retired from the Milwaukee Road Railroad. On Nov. 25, 1935 he married the former Marie Smith in Antigo. She survives. He was a member of St. Philomena's Catholic church in Birnamwood. Surviving besides his wife and a son, Bud, Wausau; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Joann) Gerhke, and Mrs. Ronald (Shirley) Krejci, both of Milwaukee; three sisters, Mrs. Rudy (Barbara) Mondl, Antigo, Mrs. Otto (Mary) Lambrecht, Green Bay; and Mrs. Donald (DeLoris) Fremming, Wausau; eight brothers, John, Green Bay; Joe, Stetsonville; William, Antigo; Philip, Hatley; Robert, Kaukauna; and Raymond, Lawrence and Harry, all of Birnamwood; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Philomena's Catholic church, Birnamwood, with the Rev. Donald Laux officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Kopitzke-Staus Funeral home, Birnamwood, from 4 p.m. today until the hour of services on Tuesday.
