There will be services at the home at one o'clock and at the Methodist church at Mattoon at two o'clock, the Rev. John Horton officiating. Interment will be at Woodlawn cemetery, Mattoon. Henry Lloyd was born in Ohio on February 28, 1838. Later the family moved to Wisconsin, and in 1862, when Lincoln was appealing to the men of the North to preserve the Union, Henry Lloyd answered the call, joining Co. K., of the 11th Wisconsin Infantry. During his three and one-half years of service Henry Lloyd saw much action, and prominent among his activities were the battles of Mobile Bay and the Red River campaign. Returning from the army to Menasha he was married at that city to Miss Mary Norton, and three children were born to the couple, all of whom survive. In 1881 the family came to Langlade county and settled on a homestead in the town of Rolling, the present Lloyd farm. Mr. Lloyd lived at that place until his death. Survivors are one brother, Wesley, of Menasha, two daughters, Mrs. Will Davenport, Clermont, Fla., and Mrs. L. N. Burrell, Seattle, Wash., and one son Walter, of the town of Rolling.
