JOHN FRONEK, 96, DIES IN SHAWANO Mrs. Hattie Fronek, 96, the wife of former Langlade County Assemblyman John Fronek, died Tuesday in Shawano. Mrs. Fronek, a Langlade County resident from 1937 until 1969, was born on Feb. 15, 1884, in the town of Washington, Shawano County. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Buelow. In January 1903, she married Gustav Martin in the town of Washington. He died in July 1927. In 1937 she married Fronek, a member of the Wisconsin Assembly, who died in 1969. After his death she lived in Sarasota, Fla. She was a member of St. Peter [Paul] Lutheran Church, Bonduel. Mrs. Fronek is survived by daughters, Helen Werner, Sarasota, and Hazel Andrews, Shawano. Clara Steber, Antigo, is a step daughter. George Martin, of rural Shawano, is a surviving son, and step sons including Norman, Edward, Ray, Harry, and John Fronek, all live in the Antigo area. She is also survived by a sister, Linda Haefs, of Shawano; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, and one great great grand daughter. Step grandchildren number 34, step great grandchildren 86, and several step great great grandchildren survive. Services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. at the Karth Kopitzke Funeral Home, Shawano, with Rev. Martin Sengele officating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Shawano.
