Fronek Sr., 74, a life-long resident of the town of Ackley, died Wednesday at Langlade County Memorial Hospital. A dairy farmer, Mr. Fronek was born in Antigo on Nov. 30, 1906. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John R. Fronek. He married Helen Prasalowicz on June 18, 1930, in Antigo, and she died on Dec. 10, 1972. On Feb. 6, 1976, Mr. Fronek married Margaret Krall in Antigo and she survives. Mr. Fronek, who retired in 1972, was a member of St. Hyacinth Catholic Church. Active in town affairs, he served as assessor for the town of Ackley for many years. He was town chairman for 16 years and also served on the Langlade County Board of Supervisors. Besides his wife, Mr. Fronek is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Emmaline) Mach Jr., and Mrs. Donald Goetz, both of Lima Center, Wis.; three sons, Harry Jr., Route 4, Antigo, Jerome, Seymour, Wis., Ronald, Hortonville; and 27 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Six step-daughters survive, along with a step-son. Brothers surviving are John Jr., Wausau, and Edward, Norman, and Raymond, all of Antigo. One sister survives - Mrs. Clara Steber, Route 2, Antigo. He was predeceased by a daughter and brother. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church. Burial will be in Queen of Peace Cemetery. Rev. James Vennix will officiate. Friends may call after 3:30 p.m. Friday at McCandless-Zobel and Bradley Funeral Home, where a wake service will be held at 8 o'clock that night.
