    2. Slager Family
    3. I am looking for the location of a RUSSELL CEMETERY. A death certificate for Elizabeth (Haltiman) Mull indicates that she died in Summit in Langlade County and was buried in the Russell Cemetery. If any one has access to this cemetery I would be very interested in any MULL or KEOUGH burials there. Is it possible that it is not in Langlade County? If so, where? 3. Hello Bobbie, The Antigo Public Library has microfilmed archives of "The Antigo Daily Journal". You can request an obituary photocopy from them. I usually send a personal check for $1.00 per obituary request, with the exact date of death, and a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Their address is: Antigo Public Library Reference Librarian 617 Clermont St. Antigo, WI 54409-1943 The Social Security Death index has a death date for Mary KNUTH on Sept. 22, 1999 and last residence at Elcho, Langlade Co., WI. Their website is located at: http://ssdi.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/ssdi.cgi Good luck, DeAnna [email protected] wrote: > I would appreciate it if someone could get a copy of an obit from the > newspaper for Mary Ellen (Johnson) Knuth she died in the fall of 1999. 3. Hello June, The archives of "The Antigo Daily Journal" are kept on microfilm at the Antigo Public Library. I have written to them in the past requesting obituaries, etc. You can write to them and ask if they are able to do a search for you. It helps if you know the exact date and send a self-addressed, stamped envelope for a reply. Their address is: Antigo Public Library Reference Librarian 617 Clermont St. Antigo, WI 54409-1943 Good luck, DeAnna [email protected] wrote: > I was born in Antigo and would like to get information regarding newspapers > in existence at the time of my birth and any other information (year 1916). > Can anyone help me? 1. Re: MULL/KEOUGH WI,IN,VA
    2. Slager Family
    3. I am looking for Elizabeth or Maggie MULL ( b. abt. 1848) in Indiana. She married John KEOUGH (b. about 1852) and is found on the 1880 Langlade County, Wi census as age 32 with husband John age 28 and baby John Patrick age 1 year (born 13 May 1879). John KEOUGH Sr. was a farmer/woodsman. A living 85 year old grandson of John KEOUGH Sr. states that John went back to Michigan and left his son John Patrick KEOUGH to be raised by the PENDLETON family in Lily/Langlade area of Langlade Co. WI. John Patrick never heard from his father again from the age of 7 until his father's death, supposedly in Michigan some time before 1942. Where in Michigan? In John Patrick KEOUGH's obit it states he was preceded in death by a brother and sister. Who were they? No clue as to the brother and sister's name or birth dates but found evidence of a record of a Frank Keogh (KEOUGH), born Oct 12, 1901 in the town of Price, Langlade Co, WI, son of Lizzy Keough and listed as indian/.white mix. The record apparently is an illegitimate birth to Lizzy KEOUGH (b. WI) and R. H. HANNON (HANNEN), laborer, (b. Canada). Because it is an illegitimate birth I cannot get the record from the state of Wisconsin because they seem to have a law that seals all illegitimate births. This Frank KEOGH (KEOUGH) is in the same age range as John Patrick KEOUGH's own children and quite possibly is the son of the his elusive sister. A family story has Native American blood in the KEOUGH line. The above record seems to fit but I need more documentation from a second source. If naming practice was followed, and it appears so, John Patrick was the first born son named after his father. It would seem likely that a sister might have been named after Elizabeth (Maggie). John Patrick KEOUGH's marriage and death certificates show his father as John KEOUGH and mother as Elizabeth MULL. The 1880 census shows John KEOUGH's wife to be named Maggie, a nick name? In 1880 there were only about 650 people in the whole county and only one KEOUGH family in the census. Related? - I also have the death certificate of an Elizabeth MULL, born about 1817 in Virginia, maiden name HALTIMON (HOLTIMAN), father George HALTIMON, mother unknown. She died June 14, 1907 and is buried in the Russell Cemetery, Langlade Co, WI? Residence at time of death, Summit, Langlade Co, WI. Can anyone place these people in their lines? Can you help me find Elizabeth MULL KEOUGH in Indiana?
