Just a few facts I know...the unknown grave is the only girl Cyril Martin Hajewski and Gabriel Hajewski had of four boys. The baby girl only lived a few hours. Hedwig (my grandma) had I think four sisters. One was Wanda Woida and another lives with her daughter in Briggsville, WI and runs the St. Philomena shrine and Archconfronternity. My Grandpa Joseph Casper Hajewski had a sister for sure who became a nun in the Sisters of Notre Dame order and is buried in Elm Grove. She was Sister Nathanelle(SP?) Hajewska (Polish women had an ska and not an ski in their last names) she died on my birthday Sep 4th, 1974. So when I found these burial records that this Hedwig was the daughter of Julia Krimkowski, I assumed that this was my Julia and Hedwig and that Hedwig married Joseph Hajewski. I have a letter addressed to my mother, Martha Rosa Olga Tischer from May 1954 asking her for confirmation of Uncle Willies birthplace in Germany who passed in 1952 at the age of 81. They believe that he is related to my grandmothers side of the family (konig) because of pictures they have.That would mean Uncle Willie came from Lobenstein, Thuringer Germany.Hubert was in charge of Uncle Willies will so I'm guessing there's a relation to my mother. Hubert lived on 320 Lincoln Street, Antigo Wisconsin in 1954 and was married,I don't know his wifes first name - she signed Mrs. Hubert Priebe. I believe Hubert had a brother Amandus Reinhold Priebe who married Clara Zellmer and adopted her daughter Edna. I belive Edna's biological father was Albert Dietrich. Any info would be helpful in finding my relatives in Wisconsin & Lobenstein Germany. My grandmothers name is Auguste Rosa Olga Tischer(Konig)My grandfathers name was Ferdinand ! Louis Karl Tischer and his occupation is listed as a restaurantuer. My mother also had a brother Rudolp - not sure of his last name because he was given up for adoption. Sylvia's daughter, Lucy Culver, is my great-grandmother. I think her maiden name was Prouty, rather than Pouty, although I have seen the Pouty spelling in trees on ancestry.com. I have a small ring that had belonged to "Grandma Van Orman" that she gave to either my grandmother or my mom back in the day... Mom was about 10 when she died, so I'm not sure if she gave it directly to Mom, or to Grandma. I sure enjoy having it. One puzzle we haven't been able to solve is where Sylvia is buried. He married a second time August 6, 1893, in Shawano, Wis., Matrona Ellen, daughter of Denis and Mary Malissy (Vance) Sullivan. She died June 18, 1896, in Shawano, Wis. He married, third, July 4, 1900, in Belle Plaine, Wis., Eleanor Gertrude, Daughter of Sydney Philander and Silva Almira (Pouty) Van Orman. She was born May 18, 1882. He is a carpenter and stonemason: he lived in Shawano City, Wis.; moved to Crandon, Wis., March 25, 1905; back to Shawano, Wis., March 2, 1906, and to Gresham, Wis., March 1 1907, where he now lives." I've "rescued" an old photograph of Mary MCDOUGALD which was taken at the Morgan Bros. Studio in Antigo, Wisconsin. The photograph is dated 1889 with Mary appearing to be in her teens or 20's at the time it was taken. I am hoping to locate someone from Mary's family so that this wonderful old treasure can be returned to the care of family.
