Looking for any info on William Ashley HOVEY m. Mary Caroline WALLACE, 25 Apr 1850 in Lafayette County, WI. d. after 1905. He moved to Yreka, CA in 1854. His wife died there 12 Jul 1905. There son, Eugene, was killed in the Modoc War 17 Apr 1873 and buried in Yreka. I have several letters that William wrote to his family back in Wisconsin describing their trip to California and life in the Yreka area which I would be happy to share with his descendants.
