The Lafayette County Genealogy Society is beginning a project of updating the index of cemetery records for Lafayette County. This is to be a 3-4 year project due to the large number of cemeteries in Lafayette County. The first cemetery to be updated is the Graceland Cemetery in Blanchardville. Work will begin on August 11, 2001 at 9:00 A.M. Bring as sack lunch, a clipboard, sun hat, and maybe a folding chair. We need all the help that we can get. Most of our local members are old and find this work too hard for them.
