How exciting! My uncle, Russell Farrey, was one of the rescuers killed in the 2nd cave-in. He left a young wife and two babies and was a casualty of war just as if he had been in the military. Most of his generation considered what they were doing just "taking care of business" -- an attitude I think undervalues what they did. As a history teacher, I stand in awe of my parents' generation.
