My problem; Loren Brewster DeVoe b. 3-27-1837 marr. Mary Ann Swearingen. I come from this union4 generations later. She is out of the picture, when he marries Bartha Cline. in 1872. They have a child. Then he marries Ariel T. Howe in 1882. He married Mary in Clarno, Green, 1861, then Bartha at Monroe, Green Co. and Ariel in LaFayette. . He keeps the children, no record of marriages of the first two wives to someone else , nor can I find a death notice for any of his 3 wives!His third wife said she was a widow a year before his death! Did he bury his first two in the back yard??? I am not ruling out anything. Ha!
