A request for info on Lewis Robertson appeared on the census lookup list. I have a Lewis C Robinson born 1826 in Tennessee and the 1880 census shows another Lewis born abt 1857. The name is spelled Robinson sometimes for some family members, which makes it confusing. My great-greatgrandfather was Isaac Robertson, and his second son was Lewis C, the one mentioned above. The wife's name is given as Amelia Jane Jacobs, but there could have been more than one marriage. The Lewis who was 23 in 1880 was married to Polly, which was often a nickname for Mary. Any help?
