    1. [WILAFAYE] Lafayette Co Connections with ship Norge Sinking 28 June 1904
    2. Hi Listers, Seeking relatives/descendants of Norwegians and Danes lost on the ship Norge 28 June 1904 en route from Norway to U. S. My grandfather, Ener Nyborg, who was living in the Argyle/Wiota area at the time, was expecting two brothers on this ship, who unfortunately were among those lost. Per Sebak in Norway is writing a book on the sinking, and we are trying to find anyone related to the passengers who were on the ship. I'm looking for any information from Lafayette County sources (e. g., old news articles, references in old books, etc.) about any Lafayette County connections to this ship. Can listers dust off their resources and check them? It would be much appreciated, as I am over 130 miles away, and can't come to Darlington for some time to check resources myself. Any help would be much appreciated! I'm also looking for someone who would be interested in being the County Coordinator for the Lafayette County GenExchange. I am temporarily serving as the Lafayette CC, but GenExchange needs someone who lives closer to the area and is interested in developing the County. Volunteers are also welcome. Anyone can add records to the site using the online templates, or download the templates to work offline. I've been very busy with the state website, and am also CC for Kenosha County. GenExchange believes in free access to genealogy records on the net, and we are all working very hard to make records accessible. There are websites for every state and every county in every state, and foreign countries, all connected. Check us out!
