I thought this would be of interest to some people: May 26 - "Noah's not the only one with an ARC" The La Crosse Area Genealogical Society's May meeting will be held at 7:00pm at the Area Research Center (ARC) in Murphy Library on the UW-La Crosse campus. The doors will actually open at 5 minutes to 7 (so don't get there too early) and we will be the only ones with access to the ARC that evening. Paul Beck, the Special Collections Librarian, will give us an overview of the ARC and its holdings and we will then be able to do research while we are there. Paul will be the only one working that evening so if you have specific items that you would like to research while you are there, it would be most helpful if you would let Paul know in advance (an e-mail to Paul at beck.paul@uwlax.edu) letting him know that you will be there with LAGS and giving the catalog number, etc of what you want. Paul will plan to have those items pulled prior to our arrival to save time. Come prepared to research our very own ARC.
