Hello, Saw the message about the Schmidt family. Not sure if there is any connection but I am related to Schmidt's in that area. They were not from Prussia though, they were from Cologne Germany. My Great x 3 grandparents names were Henry Schmidt (04/08/1839-01/03/1903) and Marie Schmidt (03/31/1849-07/21/1907. Their children were <Gertrude, Kate, Mary, Barbara, Minnie, Odelis, Ann, Christina, Henrich, Matt, John, and another Christina so I'm unsure if one of them died. If this helps the researcher about her Schmidt then great. If she recognizes any of those names let me know.
