He was bc 1843 at Ohio, parents not known; and Sarah was bc 1845 at New York, daughter of Roswell & Harriet (Root) Edgely. Sarah had been married previously to Pierce Butler and divorced at Madison, WI in 1865. William and Sarah were married WI or IA c1866 and were at La Crosse, WI by 1870 where they had minimally seven children. He was identified as an engineer in local city directories and the 1870 and 1880 US censuses. There is no further information about the family after 1883 when their last child, name unknown, was born at La Crosse. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
