City of La Crosse JACOB HAHN, dealer in groceries and provisions, in Stone Block, North Third street, has been in business in North La Crosse since 1873, and a resident of the place since April 12, 1857. He was born in Prussia in 1850. His father, John Hahn, came to the United States with his family in the spring of 1857; settled in North La Crosse and resided there till his death, Nov. 17, 1877, at the age of 62. His mother, whose maiden name was Anna Sophia Coppellen, is still living, at the age of 66. Mr. Hahn was married in October, 1876, to Theresa Schafermeyer, of La Crosse County. Has two children - Mary and Henry; lost one, Anna, who died in infancy. [I am not related to this family and have no further information. I'm posting this as a service and hope it helps!]
