From "History of La Crosse County, Wisconsin", 1881, p. 747. City of La Crosse A. M. CONGDON, carpenter and millwright, was born in Marietta, Ohio, in 1852; learned his trade of G. W. Sherwood, of St. Paul, commencing in 1871. He has since worked in Chicago, Ill., Muskegon, Mich., Kansas City, Mo., Mason City, Iowa, and came to La Crosse in 1874. He has been in the employ of P. S. Davidson since January, 1880. He was married in September, 1880, to Miss Edna Brown, of Dakota, Minn. [I am not related to this family and have no further information.
