I appreciate the biographies on the internet for LaCrosse County and I thank the person who is doing this. But I do have a question. A couple of years ago when I joined this list, someone looked up the History of La Crosse County and found three men named David Davis, one of which was mine. I was, at the time, thrilled because I had no proof that he emigrated to LaCrosse County. However, he isn't mentioned in the biographies from the 1881 history. Was there a different history? Annie, I'm typing up the biographies and putting them out to the list. I'll take a stab at the answer here. Right now, I'm just posting the City of La Crosse biographies. I haven't had a chance to do the other towns, villages, and townships' biographies yet. So, if David Davis wasn't living in the city of La Crosse, I just haven't gotten to him yet. The other answer could be that the references to David Davis were in other sections of the book than the biographies section. They do give quite a few personal details within the histories of the towns and villages. Does that help?
