Family 1 Robert Joy, b. ca. 1794, married Bridget Leade. They had three children John, b. 1825: Thomas, b. 1834; and Bridget, b. 1837. Robert and son John are in the railroad workers living area in Mazomanee, WI, on the 1860 census. 1900 census records indicate John emigrated in 1850. We have not further records of Thomas or Bridget. Robert and John settled in Crawford Co., WI. Family 2 Maruice Joy, b. 1812, married Mary Layde. Their children were John, 1834; Thomas, 1838; Catherine; ca. 1840; John, 1840; and Robert, 1844. The 1860 census for Mazomanee have Maurice and Mary and their children Thomas, Catherine, and the youngest John listed along with Catherine's husband Robert Smith and their daughter Mary. The Joy families are related. We also have the marriage for another Bridget Layde from this Layde family. Any help in getting more information about the families would be appreciated.
