Hello, I couldn't help responding to this thread. My first grade teacher was a Mrs. Larkin. I lived in Black River Falls, Wisconsin at that time. I believe that it is in Jackson County which neighbors Trempealeau. This would have been around 1961. Not only that...several years ago, I went to an auction house in North St.Paul. I bought several items there...one of them being an old standing radio. I think it may have been a Stromberg/Carlson, or something like that. It was purchased in Black River Falls. I gave it to my son, so the booklet that came with it and a paper tag stuck to the inside is not in front of me. It had the LARKIN name on it somewhere. Either that was the name of the store it was purchased from in Black River or the name of the original purchaser. This probably is of no help to you..but you may want to include that region in your search. Cynthia Nelson
