Hi, I'm a lurker. Even was at N. La Crosse and/or Trempealeau probably before 1890, he helped make settling-in easier for his nieces and nephews. He may have remained a bachelor w/ no children of his own. I haven't been able to find him online, hoping someone can suggest a site. Even came from Norway, Hedmark Fylke (county); variously called, AAmodt, Elverum, Osen, Sor Osen, and Trysil. BTW, Trempealeau was a day's walk north of La Crosse. Helps or hints greatly appreciated.
