Dear Cynthia-- I don't live as far away as Doris Roberts but LaCrosse seems somehow to be almost as inaccessible. Please--could you check if there is a marriage record for Alexander Otto Michaels ( born October 29,1898 in Cochrane WI) and Daisy Vera Loesel ( born Sep 29, 1900) marriage date March 4, 1920? (Since I was born on October 2, 1920, little mention was made of their wedding anniversary! My daughter said the other day that her grandma Daisy told her that they took the train to LaCrosse, got married, and then went to an all night movie. I now realize that I do not have a marriage certificate for them, (and I have all of their records, etc.. I am an only child so have all of the "stuff!" ) I am curious and would love to know if they ever really got married or just took the train trip and came back and said they were married!
