The 1st Evangelical Church has records dating back into the early 1860s or earlier. They are on microfilm at the La Crosse Public Library. There are two Roellig names in our current phone directory. An Eric on Division St. and Scott and Lynn on Birch Street. Think they may be relatives? There are also Roellichs: Albert, George, Leonard, R, Ralph, Stanley R, Steve and Molly, Tommy, & Teresa. All the La Crosse Roellichs are my relatives. We are trying to get back further than my great-great grandfather and our mutual ancestor, Anton, and find out more about his parents, Anton and Veronica, and siblings, Wenzel, Theresa, Clara, Wilhelmina, and Franz and whether the Roelligs in La Crosse, also from Bohemia, are cousins. This means digging out information right around the Civil War.
