City of La Crosse VALENTINE PFEIFFER, of the firm of Luntz & Pfeiffer, proprietors of the Court House Meat Market, was born in Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany, in 1842; son of Jacob Pfeiffer; came to America in the spring of 1866, and has been in La Crosse most of the time since. He was married in 1874, to Mary Kriebs, and has two children - Rosa and Lizzie. [I am not related to this family and have no further information.
