Hi List Members, Looking for First Papers, Naturalization paper and descendants of Nels & Caroline Gunderson who spent most of their lives in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Nels obit dated July 3, 1909 says they lived at 1402 Livingston Street in LaCrosse at the time of his death. According to the 1900 U.S. Census Nels immigrated to the United States in 1888. Caroline came in 1889. Only two of their children are living with them in Clark County, Sherwood Forest Town, Wisconsin at this time. The names of their five children are Marie (married Ove Severin Brevick), Christina (married a ? Severson), Olga (married Anton Olson), Carl (married ?) and Noimand or Norman (married ?). Where would I look to find Nels Naturalization paper? Steven Point, Wisconsin? Olga is my great grandmother. She and Anton were married on October 25, 1890 in LaCrosse and had 11 children. Their oldest child is my grandmother. Her name was Nellie Otelia Olson. Nellie was born June 1, 1891 in Star Lake, Wisconsin and died March 3, 1932 in Bovey, Itasca County, Minnesota. I cannot find her birth certificate/record and not sure where else to look. Her marriage certificate lists her last name as Nelson but the obit for her brother Norman shows him having the last name of Gunderson. Does anyone have any suggestions as to other places to research? I have tried to find info on Carl and Noimand (Norman) but the only other data I have found is a Carl Gunderson buried in Campbell Cemetery, which is located in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. I am also related to all the descendants of Ole Olsen Brevick & Beret Martha Sivertsdatter who lived in West Salem, LaCrosse County, Wisconsin. Their children spelled their last names several different ways. Olson, Brevick, Breiwick, and Briwick. If related, please contact me. I would like to exchange data and I am interested in Pictures.
