I believe Stanislaus may be a brother. I know Julianna is buried in Lacrosse Catholic Cemetery but unsure where Christian was laid to rest. He is not listed next to his wife. I have 8 potential children of Christian and Julianna: Julianna(1836), Marianna(1838), Stanislaus(1840),Marianna(1843),Antonina(1845),Simon(1847),Frank X(1848-1922), and Pauline(1852-1942). From what I found in the 1880 census, Frank Xavier's mother seems to have been Juliana. Then on the ship passenger list, his father seems to have been Christian. In the 1880 census, Franz, Agnes, their 3 children, and Franz' mother Juliana, were living in the town of Washington, La Crosse County, Wisconsin. Have you thought about looking for a church marriage record for Frank Xavier Przytarski/Pretasky and Agnes Brizel/Briggor (possibly Brygier?) in the town of Washington?, or in the town of Middle Ridge, La Crosse County, Where 2 of the oldest children Frank Przytalski and Mary Przytarski state they were born (per their marriage records). Hope this helps. Lenox were married by the Rev. Charles Brudy, the bride's father presenting her in marriage at eight. For the service the bride wore a gray suit and a corsage of red roses. Her bridal matron, Mrs. James Pretasky, wore a black and white checked suit with a pink rose corsage. James Pretasky was best man and Jerry Pretasky and Richard Wing were servers at the mass. Breakfast at the home of the bridegroom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin W. Lenox, 1327 Wood street, was followed by dinner at Mullin's tea rooms and a reception for 75 guests was held at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas G. Pretasky, 825 Hagar street. After their trip to Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Lenox will return to La Crosse to make their home at 932 Liberty street. We have the go ahead from Oak Grove Cemetery to clean stones there Tuesday, July 20 from 3-7pm. This is an "open house" type atmosphere - come when you can; leave when you must! I will have drinking water available. If you plan to clean stones, please bring a sprinkling can or bucket that you can lift when filled with water. Also if you have a stiff (NOT METAL) scrub brush to bring along to help, that would be great! If you plan to take digital photos, please bring a digital camera. If you plan to help re-transcribe tombstone data, then please bring yourself! In any event, wear old clothes, sunscreen and mosquito repellent. Oak Grove is located at 1407 La Crosse St. If it is thundering/lightning, we will have to cancel or if there is a funeral. Go through the Losey arch at the entrance to the cemetery and follow the signs in the cemetery to section 32/41 where the Civil War memorial is. I will have a table near there. This will be our last "group" effort in the cemetery this year. If you are interested in going out on your own independently I can help you there. We have cleaning kits available for "check out" from the Archives desk or I can give you a map and a section to re-transcribe or photograph. One question do you have any Mayenschein family in the Hass bible? Linda gc-gateway@rootsweb.com wrote: > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Author: frankandevelyn > Surnames: Hass / Knobloch > Classification: queries > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.wisconsin.counties.lacrosse/577.3.2.1/mb.ashx > > Message Board Post: > > I am the Frank Palmer mentioned in the record you refered to. I would like to correct an error that has been going on for a while. There is NO Walter Palmer in our family. I think the error comes from my cousin's name. Wally Jo Sievers is the daughter of Eldiva Knobloch and Walter Sievers. I am willing to share what I have on the Hass and Knobloch lines. I am new at this, so I hope I don't break any rules. The Soyphia Blinster info told me of a son Palmer of Dec of 46 - Severa Knoblock & Louis Palmer of CA I would like more info on this family. Have an interesting fact to share. *Louis Dean Palmer was a Utah native living in CA. He served as a chauffeur & bodyguard for Shirley Temple in the late 1940's - when Temple was 13 years old. She nicknamed him Palm Tree. Later in 1943 he was the driver for a rear admiral in the U.S. Navy. During his days watching Miss Temple - he had to wait for her to be dismissed from school, he met a young woman who was employed there by the name of Severa T. Knoblock. Severa was raised on a farm at the bottom of Irish Hill just outside of LaCrosse. Palmer married Knoblock and they moved to the LaCrosse area around the time he owned a Service Station at ! 14th Street South and South Avenue in the late 1940's.* This was in the LaCrosse Tribune. Children: Jeffery, Sivert, Frank, Gary, Walter Could anyone answer this question if I place an attachment on dose everyone get to see the information? or only the person that sent thes message??? Hello, I am new to the list and hope I am posting to the right place. I have recently discovered that an ancestor of mine (Mary Berghold) married someone named Conrad Geyer in La Crosse in 1868. I also found that Conrad bought land in La Crosse in 1873. Conrad listed his parents as Caspar and Anna Geiyer. Conrad and Mary had a daughter named Anna Matilda Geyer born approximately in 1872. I am searching for more info on this family and for a more exact birthdate for Anna Matilda. Can anyone tell me what kinds of records are available for this area? Birth, marriage, death and divorce records could be helpful. Any helpful hints would be appreciated. Thank you, Carrie Taylor (carrotarms@verizon.net)

I have a few more questions, but I will put them in the email. I used to work as a newspaper reporter so I have a few venues I can use to search for a newspaper article on your grandfather. I'm sure if there is something out there you would have found it already, but I will check anyway. Kris Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
