Joan and Jackie Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thanks to you and your diligent, tedious work, I now know that my Albert L. Brockway (as we knew him) and the Albert Brockway (1885,1895 Census) and Loren Brockway (son of O.H. Brockway, 1860 census) is the same person. He's Loren A. Brockway on the 1880 census with Martha (Johnson) wife and my grandfather, George Henry Brockway, 8 months old. I also can now tell from the 1880 census that his father, O.H., probably died before the 1875 census and why there are no Brockways on it. His mother, Phoebe, is married to George Woolard by 1875 (or 1870? I can hardly wait!!). Loren's brother Charles is living with the Woolards in the 1880 census. This is fascinating! And so easy with YOU doing the work! I have volunteered to transcribe the census for a county in Georgia. I appreciate all you and others have done and wanted to reciprocate in some way. I will try to do the same for others.
