WI], 14 May 1908 Death of G. N. Huckins Passes away after Paralytic Stroke and Hemorrhage of the Brain Funeral at Necedah Pittsville, May 12: George Nelson Huckins passed away peacefully at his home in this city Sunday morning at 8:30. He had a paralytic stroke and hemorrhage of the brain Friday forenoon and was unconscious up to his death. Deceased was born at West Lubec, Maine, January 10, 1835. He was a sailor up to the time he came west to Necedah, just forty years ago. He lived in Necedah up to nine years ago when the family moved to Pittsville where they have since resided. Forty-six years ago this coming July he was married to Mary Clarinda Case. He leaves to mourn his loss, the widow, one son, Elmer, and grandson, Earle, who has lived with them since his birth, and to them the community extends condolence. Mr. Huckins has been a Mason over forty years and at the time of his death was one of the best posted Masons in the state. It was his religion and he thought it was the grandest thing in his life. Pittsville Masonic lodge took charge of the remains which were taken to Necedah for burial on Wednesday.
