Winters, 98, of Pittsville, died August 11, 2004 in Marshfield. Ervin Winters was born July 10, 1906 in the Juneau County town of Armenia to Edward and Grace (McGlynn) Winters. Ervin graduated from Nekoosa high school, and was married Hilda Alnes on June 15, 1927 in Nekoosa. They farmed in the town of Armenia, and Ervin worked for the Juneau Co. highway department. They moved to a farm in the town of Wood in 1949, and to the city of Pittsville in 1968. Ervin is survived by two children; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grand-daughter. Erv was preceded in death by his wife Hilda on March 28, 1994; one sister, Rachel Johnson in May 1994; one brother, Howard, in infancy; and one son-in-law, Edward Hresil. Funeral services were held August 14, 2004 at St. John's Lutheran church, Pittsville. Burial was in Riverside cemetery, Nekoosa. Buchanan Funeral Home, Pittsville, assisted with arrangements.
