Secor, a former citizen of New Lisbon was asphyxiated by gas in his room at Chamberlain, S.D., on the 9th, inst. He was buried beside his mother and brother Delos the following Saturday. Services were held by the Eagles at Chamberlain, and burial services were under auspices of the G.A.R. Post at Spencer, Ia. Deceased was born Oct 8, 1847 at Racine, Wis., and came to New Lisbon with his parents in 1845. His father, Dr. Theodore Secor, of Minneapolis, now ninety-seven years of age, is the only surviving member of the family. Herbert Secor was held in high esteen by his business associates at Chamberlain. He had many warm personal friends in this city who will sincerely regret his departure.
